Kirtan is a lot of fun and a great way to spend an evening. Beginning on Friday 8 July we will be holding kirtan every Friday night.
All welcome – bring your friends along too. Some instruments are available, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Kirtan is the Sanskrit word for chanting. If you are not familiar with kirtan then listen to this: George Harrison (of Beatles fame) singing Gopala Krishna.
Kirtan is very entertaining, even for people who think they can’t sing. It is usually held in a call-and-response style in which the leader plays the harmonium and the audience follows along.
Starting on Friday 8 July. Vegetarian soup served at 7:30pm followed by kirtan (8:00-9:30pm). $5.
