Teen Yoga
Being a teenager is a hard time; the physical changes, the social pressures and the big questions of what it’s all about. Teen yoga (11-17 yrs) is aimed at easing this transitory phase.
Getting to know your body is one of the key points of any type of yoga, and it is the foundation of teen yoga classes.
Physical strength and flexibility will be increased, and postures with specific benefits to the hormonal systems; especially reproductive will be incorporated as there are many changes in this area.
As with any classical yoga classes comprise postures, breathing and relaxation.
At the beginning and / or end of each class there will also be an opportunity to discuss anything that is being noticed from the practice. This will also be an opportunity to discuss general issues to look for natural healthy solutions.
All is covered in a succint 1 hour time slot to accommodate busy timetables (and short attention spans!).
To be held at Ashram Yoga; 24 Cheshire St Parnell
4-5 pm every Tuesday – please register your interest as a starting date will be decided once sufficient interest is shown.
