Kirtan (Chanting)
Sharman is an amazing kirtanist. Some people are gifted and Sharman’s gift is her ability to inspire and uplift with music. Any opportunity to spend time with her is well worth taking. Her soul-powered music makes you feel alive. Listen to a sample here.
.
Mantra, Pranayama and Meditation
Shantimurti is teaching Master Classes on meditation, mantra and pranayama (breathing techniques). These profound techniques have the ability to transform your life from the inside out. They release blockages and give mental clarity, physical vitality and add depth to your awareness. The transformative power of mantra, pranayama and meditation is sung by the ancient yogis, everyone at Ashram Yoga and even by modern science.
You don’t need any prior experience to learn mantra, pranayama or meditation. If you can breathe then you can learn pranayama and if you can think a thought, then you can meditate. Their power comes from regular practice and the benefits are cumulative.

About our tutors:
Sharman Okan
Sharman (Swami Shishyananda Saraswati) is visiting from Australia. She has been chanting for 35 years. She lived as a sannyasin in a yoga ashram for twelve years as a teenager and young adult where she learned to chant sacred mantras as a path to healing and a freeway to enlightenment and ecstasy.
Sharman continues to lead live chanting (kirtan). She intimately understands the intricacies of the chant and with the power of her voice and her devotional nature she creates a space for others to transform and heal.

Shantimurti Okan
Although Shantimurti (Swami Shantimurti Saraswati) lives at the Ohui Retreat Centre we still consider him to be a special guest and are grateful to have him as a teacher. Not only has he spent many decades practicing yoga, meditation, mantras and pranayama, he has also taught them to innumerable people.
As a result of his long experience, deep intuition and encouraging nature, he is able to guide people into practices that suit them and yield the best results.
