Book Review: The Journey Home

Radhanath Swami tells the extraordinary story of his life. He recounts his adventures on the road while travelling through Europe and India in search of Divine connection.

Through near-death encounters, apprenticeships with advanced yogis, and years of travel along the pilgrim’s path, Radhanath Swami eventually reaches the inner sanctum of India’s mystic culture and finds the love he has been seeking.

It is a tale told with rare candor, immersing the reader in a journey that is at once engaging, humorous, and heartwarming.

An intimately personal, approachable and life affirming epic.

I loved this book the moment I read the introduction. It just grabbed me and kept me captivated, spell-bound the rest of the day, all night, until the next morning when I regretfully closed the cover, having reached the end too soon, wanting it to go on.

What I found most remarkable was how relate-able Radhanath Swami’s narrative is. I felt like “Finally! Someone who thinks and feels and “Gets” how I also see the world.” I felt no longer so alone on my own Journey Home.

I have had the opportunity to spend time with Radhanath Swami and hear him speak. If you like the book, wait till you meet the person! He’s so joyous, loving, humble, sincere and kind. I feel eminently blessed and uplifted.

Please pick up a copy if you haven’t already. It’s dangerous though, I warn you! You may disappear until you’ve read the whole thing!
