The Path of Practice: A Woman’s Book of Healing with Food, Breath, and Sound by Bri. Maya Tiwari. Reviewed by Andrew Sanderson.
I like eating and I like yoga so when I picked up this book and found that it combined the two, I was instantly hooked. While I don’t quite fit the targeted demographic, I still found it a fascinating story.
When Bri. Maya Tiwari was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer at the age of 23, her doctor recommend that she die painlessly with “heavy doses of morphine.” Instead, she decided to design a rigorous self-healing practice that led her to become cancer-free and one of the only female experts on traditional Ayurvedic medicine in the world.
Using her personal story as the anchor, Tiwari shares her extensive knowledge of the Vedas, especially as it pertains to feminine health and well-being.
If you are interested in food, prana and spirituality – then I highly recommend this book. It is a fascinating insight into the Vedic approach to a nourishing life.

A Must Have Book for Living a Healthy and Vibrant Life by Nakawe Amrita
Bri Maya Tiwari has shared some of her very personal stories of her own life and healing journey. Her wisdom she shares throughout the book is priceless and timeless.
She has again, as in her other books, made available to the world, simple life nuturing and sustaining methods that will enable all those who read her book to start or stay on their path of living in a vibrant and healthy way.
Through her books and workshops I have been able to heal myself of seasonal allergies and have also begun to heal some deep ancestorial/family issues. I recommend this book highly.
A wonderful gift for the spirit and the body by Dr. Donna Yerman

I have read Bri Maya Tiwari’s other books and have found them to life changing as well. I would like to thank her for her gift to us all.
A Healing Journey That Works by Anonymous
Brilliant, inspiring and accessible. Her earlier works are indispensible tools in learning the secrets found in Ayurveda’s path to optimal health. In this latest release the reader is gifted with Bri. Maya’s most personal account of her own healing journey, as well as the journey of so many that she has helped over the years.
I am but one that she helped to achieve health at all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. This priceless edition presents the timeless means to achieve such a level of well being. Path of Practice goes beyond the clinical application of any health regime to the center of what creates our dis-ease so that we may recognize it and move beyond into our natural stae of health and well being.
This book offers what has been missing in our fast paced lives that brings us to the core of what it is to be alive and to be present in every action, thought and experience so that we can live in the balance of nature that we can never separate ourselves from.
My only criticism is that the book is subtitled A Woman’s Book of Healing. This book is for anyone that suffers, anyone who wants to heal. It is written by a woman that embodies the spirit of the Divine Mother to heal us all. My deepest gratitude to Bri. Maya for this gift
